Frequently Asked Questions about your Vectra Equipment
Frequently Asked Questions
We’re here to help you get the most out of your Vectra home gym equipment by answering common questions about maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty coverage, and replacement parts. If you need information on preventative care, cleaning tips, or locating your serial number, we’ve got you covered.
As specified in your equipment’s documentation, performing routine preventative maintenance is essential for ensuring that your Vectra equipment operates efficiently for many years. Here are the key maintenance procedures you should follow:
Ellipticals: After each use, clean the display using a damp cloth. Every two weeks, clean the wheels and ramp with water or a diluted multi-purpose cleaner. Every three months, conduct a comprehensive cleaning of the areas underneath the front and rear covers.
Treadmills: After every use, wipe the display with a damp cloth. Once a month, thoroughly vacuum beneath the hood (front cover).
When contacting customer service regarding an issue with your Vectra equipment, please provide the following details:
Model Number: (e.g., EX 220, TM 420) This helps in identifying the exact equipment model.
Serial Number: This unique identifier is crucial for tracking the specific unit and its manufacturing details.
Description of the Problem: Include any error messages, symptoms, or a detailed nature of the issue.
Company Information: Provide your company name, contact person’s name, address, and phone number for effective communication and follow-up.
For removing general dirt or grease, we recommend using Simple Green®. Mix 1 part Simple Green with 30 parts water for the appropriate dilution.
Do NOT spray the solution directly onto the equipment.
Instead, spray the diluted solution onto a clean, lint-free cloth and then use it to wipe down the equipment.
Vectra serial numbers are typically found on a white label beneath a black barcode, similar to a UPC. Depending on the manufacturing date, the serial number is an alphanumeric code that may be either 10 or 13 characters long. The location of the serial number varies with the type of equipment.
Treadmills: The serial number is located on the label near the power cord entry and on the frame under the left rear of the treadmill. On some older models, it may be found on the center crossbeam under the deck or on the hood (or under the hood on the frame).
Ellipticals: You can find the serial number at the rear of the machine near the on/off switch on a white sticker with a barcode, or under the hood on the frame.

As a general rule, Vectra does not send warranty parts directly to anyone other than a Vectra Authorized Technician. However, exceptions can be made for relatively simple items. It is crucial for a trained technician to assess the issue and provide a proper solution for any problems you may encounter with your Vectra equipment.
The warranty details for your Vectra equipment are provided in the documentation included with your purchase and start from the original invoice date. This warranty is exclusive to the original buyer and cannot be transferred.
To qualify for warranty coverage, your Vectra equipment must have been purchased directly from Vectra or an authorized Vectra dealer. The warranty adheres to the terms that were valid at the time of manufacture and only covers manufacturing defects identified during the warranty period. Please refer to the warranty information included with your equipment. If you have misplaced your in-box documentation, you can access warranty details on our warranties page.

The effectiveness of the wireless telemetry heart rate system relies on a strong, unobstructed signal transmitted from the chest strap to the receiver housed within the equipment console. It’s crucial to ensure the chest strap is snugly positioned against the exerciser’s body, following the instructions provided in the accompanying documentation. To enhance signal transmission, moist skin aids in establishing good contact between the transmitter strap and the skin, so perspiration or lightly moistening the skin can be beneficial.
Upon initial use of the heart rate strap, the exerciser should briefly lean close to the equipment console to allow the receiver to detect the signal. Once the console has successfully acquired the signal, the exerciser can resume a normal exercise position and commence the workout.
If the equipment features Touch Heart Rate grips, refrain from using them concurrently with the chest strap to prevent interference with the telemetry heart rate system. Additionally, if the chest strap is several years old, the battery may have depleted, necessitating replacement. In such cases, seeking assistance from a Vectra Authorized Dealer or contacting Vectra Customer Support at 1-844-832-8721 is advisable.
Lastly, it’s essential to be mindful of potential external interference that may disrupt wireless heart rate signals. Common sources of interference include wireless internet devices, cellphones or their respective towers, and wireless dog fences.
